Our CSR and climate risk governance
In response to societal and environmental challenges, the Crédit Mutuel group has implemented a specific governance system to manage its CSR approach and adopted a consolidated action plan, jointly developed with the regional groups and approved by the national executive and supervisory bodies.

The Crédit Mutuel group is made up of a group of banking and financial institutions with cooperative and regional status, firmly rooted in France.
Its regional entities have numerous subsidiaries, particularly in the insurance, asset management and consumer credit sectors.
Its 84,600 employees serve 37.8 million customers, 8.9 million of whom are members, at the most local and personal level.

Responsibility for the coherence of Crédit Mutuel – a group characterized by a culture of strong local responsibility – lies with Confédération Nationale du Crédit Mutuel (CNCM) whose duties are defined in law by the French Monetary and Financial Code. As a central body, it represents its affiliated institutions and companies vis-à-vis the regulators, oversees the cohesion and smooth functioning of the network and the application of legislative and regulatory provisions, and exercises administrative, technical and financial control over the organization and management of these affiliated institutions and companies.
Our non-financial risks
Crédit Mutuel’s governing body has analyzed the group's environmental, social and governance risks. It publishes the results in its Statement of Non-Financial Performance (SNFP), including information on the action taken and indicators monitored to anticipate and manage these risks. Cette année, l'accent a été mis sur : les risques et opportunités relatifs aux risques climatiques, l'exposition du groupe au risque physique, l'empreinte carbone du groupe, le ratio d'éligibilité à la taxonomie verte (GAR - Green Asset Ratio).
